My journey into medicine began with childhood health challenges that inspired me to pursue nursing and holistic healing. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University in 1988, I completed an ICU internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital, leading to 27 years of experience in ICU specialties. In 1996, I trained as UCI Medical Center’s first liver transplant nurse and later explored natural healing modalities in India, Africa, South America, and Peru, where I also became a birth doula and earned certifications in homeopathy and yoga. As head recovery nurse in 2015, I was recognized for my ability to prevent emergencies, which motivated me to start a private practice focused on holistic post-surgical care and medical management. My personal healing journey has shaped my compassionate approach to helping others achieve optimal health for the mind, body, and soul.
I have been a nurse for seven years, gaining valuable experience across five states in diverse settings, including inpatient surgery, outpatient care, and home health management. Caring for patients is my greatest passion, and I am deeply fulfilled by making a positive impact on their lives—whether in a hospital, clinic, or the comfort of their own homes. Originally from Chicago, I moved to Santa Barbara over two years ago after getting married and have embraced the beauty and serenity of this coastal city. Santa Barbara has become my true home, both personally and professionally, and I look forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care to my patients here.
